Damn, I'm coming back 5 years later (i know- 5 whole years D:) and i've just realised how much your works have inspired me with my own oc stories and how i can directly link back some (if not alot) of inspirations in my stories back to your animatics. Thanks for making these as they all hold a special place in my heart and has helped my drive into putting myself out there more! :)

Personally, as far as villain tropes go, one of my favorites is villains and even henchman/mooks who have a legitimate or at least understandable reason for hostility towards the good guys despite said good guys...being genuinely good. This can be done for reasons ranging from a mistake in the heroes' past (ex. Batman accidently scaring Joker into falling into the vat that bleached his skin), things the villain blames the hero for even if the logic is dubious (ex. Dr. Doom blaming Richards for ruining his face), to simple indoctrination (ex. the men who serve Sauron and who were raised to hate the west) or the simple fact that they're in a conflict where both sides have reason to be hostile beyond either's control (ex. some Autobots and Decepticons). Stuff like that plus the opportunity for the bad guys to do something genuinely noble from time to time (Zuko sparing Zhao in the show's first Agni Kai) to contrast with truly sick puppies (ex. Ozai, Zhao himself, Palpatine and Tarkin, etc.) keeps the one guessing on what each character will do and leaves them wondering exactly *how* they want the story's conflict to play out.
